Fourth-grade students from River Road with Anthony Merritt,

The Columbus Lions have teamed up with MCSD and The Literacy Alliance to
develop the “Lion Up To Read” tour. Players will visit eleven schools in the
area to talk with fourth-grade students about the importance of reading and
its connection to real-life events. These visits are designed to foster a
love of reading and instill in students the desire to become better readers
because readers are leaders. The athletes will share how reading has
impacted their lives and made them more successful as leaders in our
community.
