HARDAWAY PLACES FIRST
IN GEORGIA STATE DANCE TEAM COMPETITION
Hardaway won first place at the Georgia State Dance Team Championship at
Salem High in Conyers February 16 in Jazz and Hip Hop. This is the third
state championship for Hardaway in Jazz and the first in Hip Hop.
In the solo competition, Ashley Montgomery was named the top solo varsity
dancer in the state. Ian Baxter placed third, Adrianne Napier placed sixth,
Leah Flynn placed seventh, and Brittney Blaxton placed thirteenth in varsity
solos.
Team members are Tiara Summers, Captain; Ashley Montgomery;
Lieutenant; Ian Baxter, Sarah Marino, Leah Flynn, Abby Condra, Shella Scott,
Savanna Laur, Lori Powers, Adrianne Napier, Cayla Bean, Leslie Flynn, and
Brittney Blaxton.
Susan Hampel is
the coach; Emily Flynn is the assistant coach and choreographer.
During the March Board meeting, the team, coaches, and
Principal Matt Bell were recognized by the Board.
