CARVER RUNNER-UP
FOR STATE AAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP
The Carver Boys Basketball team finished the season with a 22-10 record.
On March 8, 2008, they competed for the AAA state championship in Macon.
After winning in the semi-finals, they they were defeated by Glenn Hills in
the finals.
During the March Board meeting, four students representing the team were
recognized by the Board. Also recognized were Coach Warren Beaulah
(far right) and Principal Chris Lindsey (far left).
Team members are Emilio Johnson, Jarmon Fortson, Charles Martin,
Demetrius Brown, Carlos Ross, DeQuindre Adams, Marcel Hawkins, Patrick
Willis, Jarvis Jones, Cedarius Shorter, Antonio Mathis, Chris Burton, Corey
Crawford.
The head coach is Warren Beaulah, and the assistant coach is Richard
Reese. Tamara Spann is the trainer; Chelsey Snell and Tasia Coleman are the
managers.
