CARVER FBLA WINS RECOGNITION
AT STATE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
Carver students won recognition in the Future Business Leaders of America
State Leadership Conference competitions March 14-16, 2008, in Athens. The
conference was attended by more than 3,000 FBLA members. Competition is
rigorous and relevant to coursework in the Business and Computer Science
curriculum. Carver FBLA placed in the following competitive events.
1st – Community Service Project – Chaundra Burkes, Patrick Hernandez, and
Kandace Smith and will advance to National competition in June)
2nd – Database Design and Application – Mariah Porter – Will advance to
National competition in June
3rd – Local Chapter Annual Business Report
6th – Word Processing II – Jherika Duncan
10th – Public Speaking II – Beverly Marshall
Chapter Award: Gold Seal Chapter for Outstanding Service
