Program is committed to providing quality service by:
-
Addressing student health needs
-
Supporting and assisting school personnel, parents
and students with health and safety issues
-
Collaborating with community health service
providers
Seven itinerant registered nurses provide
services to students with documented needs and serve as resources to
clusters of schools in managing the special health care and medical
needs that affect students’ ability to be successful in school. Their
focus is on health services, health education, and safe school
environment. Three nurses serve special
needs students.
School clinic workers support
the schools in attending to the needs of sick and injured children.
They monitor immunization records and notify parents/guardians of the
need to update immunizations. All clinic workers are certified in CPR
and first aid.
