The Muscogee County Board of Education approved a revision
of the dress code policy in April, 2006. The
official policy, posted in the online Board Policy Manual on the Georgia
School Board Association website, went into effect at the beginning of
the 2006-2007 school year.
The first section of the policy applies to all students in
the district; the second section applies to students in grades six through
twelve. All schools will enforce the district policy unless there has
been Board approval to do otherwise. Each school will develop a
discipline plan to address dress code violations, with suspension as the
last intervention.
