Debra McBride was named the recipient of the ABCD Award
for September.
She was introduced to the Board at the October meeting by Don Cooper, Chief
Human Resources Officer.
This is her second year as Cafeteria Manager at South Columbus Elementary
and
her 11th year as a Muscogee County School District employee. According to
her principal, she is
dedicated to
her job and has made a difference in the staff that works under her
supervision.
Students and faculty alike are always excited to see what she has planned to
eat
each day. She has made dining in the school cafeteria a pleasurable
experience
and often has requests for her recipes. She has a warm personality, which
makes
everyone feel at home in the cafeteria. She is very caring and
thoughtful
of everyone and always makes sure that persons on staff who are disabled
have
their lunch taken to them.
Her dedication to excellence and service to others make her most
deserving of this award.
