I believe that in America a quality education is a civil right of
every child and that public schools are the venue for this promise
to be fulfilled. Even though the challenges during these hard
economic times are great, we must not make any excuses. We know that
the keys to success for children are having highly qualified
teachers in every classroom and parents who instill the value of
education in their children.
It is important that we see each other as partners in creating a
